Friday, July 22, 2005 notice anything different about the blog? no, of course you don't, for several reasons. a, i barely changed it. b, i'm not actually talking to anyone except myself because no one reads this. sure, sure, i used to have loyal followers (all two of you) but i have since alienated you by refusing to blog more often your local water bill. at any rate, if you happened to stumble upon this entry, i deleted all of the blogs from my bookmarks that are no longer active - you know who you are. well, you would, if you read this. but you aren't. or won't. or whatever. i swear i'm not crazy. i wanted to mention on thing i read in the express (fyi, the greatest thing ever to happen to news. i mean, it spells out the basic stuff, encourages you to read the post if you want more in depth journalism, and reports on hilarity around the globe. for free. too bad you can't subscribe. officially longest parentheses ever.) a new atm in japan allows clients to play a slot machine game to try and win their service charge back, or even bonus cash up to $9. could you imagine if we had that here? people would be lined up around the block just to withdraw money. posted by johnny | 7/22/2005 01:58:00 PM Wednesday, July 13, 2005 so...yeah. i haven't been here in a while. don't get your hopes up, because it will probably be another 3 months before i post again. i just moved, again - my new address is 818 s irving st arlington va, 22209. just in case anyone wanted to send me cookies. it's a pretty decent 2br duplex, complete with a yard for the puppy. in theory, we should be having some kind of housewarming party, but with the shitty hours kim and i are putting in at work, it might be in september. we've met some of the neighbors, and they seem to be nicer than previously reported. someone even put a note on our door offering to buy my car. my thought was, i already sold one car - why not another? i think i'll wait on a raise to take that one on. segue - at work, a little upheaval has ensued. i was hoping for a mellow, laid back july (i'll be out for a week in training, then another on vacation) but was rudely interrupted with the announcement that my manager is leaving for another location. what that means for me remains to be seen - it could be good or bad. worst case scenario, i'm stuck at my current position until january, and if that happens, i'm out. i was interrupted during my thought process, so i'll be done for now. glad to disappoint! posted by johnny | 7/13/2005 01:09:00 PM |
