return of the king was great. everyone should see it, even if you're not nearly as big of a geek as i am. a better story is where eric, laura and i went to go see the movie. so i bought tix online for muvico (if you haven't gone there, it's awesome. looks like a huge egyptian palace. actually, it's just weird.) and when we got there, there was a giant line for the theatre where our seats were. genius i am, i remembered there was another showing at the same time, so i went in search of the other theatre, which i found in maybe three seconds. so i sit down and sent eric to go get laura (who was waiting in the aforementioned giant line). while i'm waiting, i realize that everyone in the seats seems to know one another. oops, i'm sitting in a reserved theatre. i keep my cool, and tell eric and laura the situation, and we try to act natural. the theatre slowly fills up, and i'm pretty sure some people around us know that we're not supposed to be there. twice managers come in, and ask the crowd if everyone has a ticket to this specific theatre, because it's reserved, blah, blah, blah. we say nothing. and let me tell you, this crowd was amazing. apparently they were all employees/relations of a store called games workshop - which i'm pretty sure is a fantasy/D and D type store. let me just say they make my nerdiness look a lot less raging. anyways, we were able to stay, didn't have to wait in that massive line, and got great seats to an epic movie. cheeeese!

pc load letter. liz phair is singing winter wonderland on conan, and it is awful. now, let's not get mixed up here: i sweat liz phair. i kind of want her to have my children. but her version of this song is terrible, and it hurts my soul. and now a guy in her band is soloing on some sort of keyboard/horn instrument. looks like he took a recorder and glued a child's casio keyboard onto it. but liz phair is so hot - muting the tv solves most of the problems.

ok, i only had a little to tell since it's only been three days since my last entry. but i'm going to try and audio blog from the road at some point, so feel free to check back over the next two weeks. like you won't anyways, you scary away-message stalkers...

dog/house sitting is done, earlier than expected. side benefit is that i now can sleep in my own bed - i have proceeded to do so two nights in a row (awesome). i will be going back at some point in january for about a week, but this time i will be by my lonesome the whole time, so i will be having over some visitors for a little big screen/hot tub action. man that sounded like the synopsis to a bad porno...

this past weekend i did even less than the weekend before, if that can be believed. jill had the baby, so the girls at 4701 were all whipped up in an estrogen-induced frenzy. eric and i watched movies. oh, and i went buck on the basement for the third year in a row - successfully cramming all of grisar's crap into the space beneath the stairwell. which leads me to the slightly embarrassing admission that i will be moving back into the house on the corner of college and rhode island. i know, i know...i should have left that place behind years ago. i just can't stay away. besides, eric and i will be constructing a sort of skirt-free zone in the basement in case ("in case"? maybe i should say "when") we need to get away from the girls upstairs. i love them, but there's only so much sex in the city/queer eye/food network that i can take. plus i think the couch upstairs is getting tired of cushioning my ass night in and night out.

terp basketball. i was wrong. we are awesome. maybe. i can't wait for acc play to begin. and the orioles seem to be finally upgrading their team to at least try and compete with the sox and yankees. how many games did i go to last year? throw in tejada, vlad and pudge and i might just buy season tickets. if only we had some pitching...

well, it might be a while before i blog again. sat-tues i'll be in wakefield, then wed-sun/mon i'll be in irondequoit, then tues-thurs/fri i'll be in wall. all that means i won't be in front of my computer for a while. but i should have plenty of stories...hopefully. plus i'm seeing lotr 3 tomorrow, which will be super.

officially, adult swim is the best hour on television. after alias. and west wing. it's probably neck and neck with the o.c., actually. but seriously, cramming four hilarious shows into one hour is seriously genius. and if you disagree, you simply don't like fun. like molly.

so i dog/house sat last week and it was EASY. easiest money ever. i'm taking care of four spoiled dogs (three shih-tzus and one lhasa apso, for the best in show crowd) which consists of basically just feeding and walking them. takes maybe a total of one hour a day. and this house is ridiculous. they have three guest rooms, a living room with a thirty foot ceiling, and a movie room with "only" a 64 inch tv. apparently they're planning on upgrading to a 100+ inch projection screen to make a proper theatre room. anyways, when i'm not "working" i'm watching alot of tv/videos/dvds and/or sleeping. good thing i have netflix. i'm thinking about reading a book or something next week.

this past weekend was really uneventful. the only thing of any note was that nicole and i played beer pong on saturday night. for all my proficiency and skill at beirut-style pong, i suck hard core at bouncing pong. and because of that i will never play again. i mean, if i can't win, why would i play? (i do still play mario cart, though)

oh shit, i almost forgot. what the hell is wrong with terp basketball? i mean, i knew we weren't going to win the acc or anything, but our defense is as porous as...swiss cheese, or something else with big giant holes in it. and 50% as a team from the line is embarassing. we're 4-2, likely to be 4-3 after we visit gainsville on thursday (which i will be watching on a 64 inch tv). i don't think i'm ready for mediocrity.

eh...i think that's it for now. everyone should watch the brak show.
