Monday, October 27, 2003 tailgating on saturday morning for homecoming...look for the frankenstein (as usual) posted by johnny | 10/27/2003 08:31:00 PM so wow...almost two months have passed since i've blogged, and i've gotten a lot of flak. what you obsessive fans (all two of you) need to understand is that my job sucks. i have absolutely no time to do anything other than eat and sleep during the work week, and half the time i don't even come home to play on the computer. i was even away for a month in ocean city - it sounds like it would be awesome, but in fact was the exact opposite. (on a completely different note, my touch lamp appears to be possessed. it turns on and off randomly, regardless of whether i'm tapping it or not. also, have you seen the credit card security commercial with the guy sitting in his easy chair talking, but with the voice of a teenage girl? butt funny.) the good news is, i quit my job and my last day is friday - what a sweet birthday present i gave myself. i've made plenty of bank, got to do lots of different kinds of environmental work (both freshwater and saltwater wetland restoration, reforestation, mitigation of all sorts), and i'm done. the commute kills me - 2 hours plus every day - and my bosses suck. i have made some really great friends, but they'll be all that i really miss. hopefully i'll just sub or temp for the next couple months before i go back to school in the spring. but enough about work. let's see...what have i done in the past couple months? i went to rhode island for joy's marathon (she did awesome). a long time ago i visited justin and molly in syracuse...that was way way back , but i guess i never wrote about it. otherwise, on the weekends i've been trying to squeeze as much fun as possible into a 48 hour period - sometimes too much fun. let's just say my new euphemism for getting sauced is "damn i drank out of the hose last night". wow that sounds really gay. not that there's anything wrong with that. speaking of which, thanks to dan and josh for turning me back on to seinfeld. it was ruined last year by someone's boyfriend, and i hadn't been able to watch it until those two forced me engage in their witty banter and quotes - "what kind of person drugs their girlfriend so they can play with their toys? what kind of person drinks a whole box of wine?" sounds funnier on the show. my birthday, for you donkeys who can't remember the most important day of the year, is friday. sweet ass. we are going to fells point, which for the uninitiated, is awesome on halloween. the 4701 hos (anyone notice you can't say "ho" on the radio, but you can say "bitch"?)are going to be extra slutted up for the occasion, which i am in favor of. balsley is planning on being jesus from the big lebowski, which is easily the best costume i have ever heard of. justinmolly (yeah that's not a typo) and noey are coming down, and there are even reports that james brown might make an appearance - which is getting more unlikely by the minute. i just might be rolling with a huge crew at the point, and then hopefully will stay over at jess and josh's place which is also sweet. unfortunately, we'll have to leave ass early in the morning to get back to cp and start tailgating for homecoming - look for the frankenstein. then there's the game, then a break period until the huge ass party at 4701. but i've been blogging for a while now, and i'm tired. now that work at er&m is almost over, i should have more time to write. maybe i'll write later today - don't get your hopes up. posted by johnny | 10/27/2003 08:52:00 AM |
